RESPONSIBLE PLAY POLICY – BRACKETOLOGY.TV
Effective Date
Effective as of June 17, 2025
1. Legal Nature of the Platform
Bracketology.tv is not a gambling platform. All games, including pools with Prizes that can be redeemed for cash or other rewards, are skill-based contests where outcomes are determined by the players' skill, decision-making, knowledge, analytics, and forecasting skills. There is no element of chance used to determine the winner of any contest. No prizes are awarded through random selection, and the platform does not offer house-banked play, lotteries, or games of chance. Real-money prizes are structured solely around skill-based outcomes.
2. Consumer Protection & Compliance
Bracketology.tv proactively adopts consumer protection standards consistent with the best practices for skill-based gaming platforms. These include:
- Transparency in match/pool outcomes and scoring.
- Data protection practices that safeguard financial and gameplay information.
- Voluntary self-exclusion tools, including participation in social, entertainment-only Contests.
- Fair matchmaking and gameplay integrity monitoring.
- Age verification and anti-fraud protocols.
Although not required to comply with any gambling statutes or regulations, Bracketology.tv voluntarily aligns its responsible play features with many of the safeguards found in regulatory frameworks for skill-based competition platforms in the United States and abroad. Our policies are periodically reviewed for alignment with guidance issued by regulatory bodies and consumer protection agencies.
3. Opting Out or Taking a Break
Users may permanent account closure by contacting our support team. Family members or third parties may also request exclusions, subject to verification.
4. Fair Play & Misconceptions
Bracketology.tv encourages skill development and strategic mastery through research and study of various entertainment industry outcomes. Despite being a skill-based game when one must exercise substantial skill to win, there are still misconceptions about how winners are determined. Misconceptions such as being 'due' for a win or relying on rituals have no bearing on outcomes, which are determined by player actions and skill. The skills are used in successful prediction pools play.
5. Safe and Balanced Use Guidelines
Play when mentally balanced, avoid substances, set limits, and take breaks. Gameplay should not interfere with personal responsibilities.
6. Support and Self-Evaluation
