Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho

Yamil “Yam Yam” Arocho is a 36-year-old salon owner from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, currently residing in San Juan. Fun, loud, and caring, Yamil has always been a fan of Survivor and wants to prove his physical and mental strength in the game. He feels that his experience leading a team during Hurricane Maria has prepared him for the challenges of Survivor. Yamil aspires to play like Cirie Fields, valuing intelligence and commitment in his alliance partners. In his free time, Yamil enjoys taking care of his plants, spending time at the beach with his husband, and traveling. An unexpected side of Yamil is his love for doing bearded drag at Halloween. His biggest inspiration is his mother, Sandra, for her tenacity and unconditional help to others. Yamil thinks that his social game, coupled with the stars aligning, will result in him being crowned Sole Survivor.
